Job Summary

Process material billings on timely and accurate basis. Perform administrative and accounting functions related to the billing of company material sales. The ideal candidate for this position will have a college degree with an emphasis in Finance/Accounting or relevant work experience in lieu of degree. There is a requirement to join the local Teamsters Union upon hire, if not already a union member. 

 

Accounts Receivable/Payroll Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the AR process from scaling to billing to collection activity.
  • Maintain price lists
  • Balance ticketing to accounting system.
  • Deposit checks and maintain files of paid invoices
  • Weekly Cash Forecast
  • Manage AR accounts and make collection calls
  • Maintain open AR Files and mail out monthly statements
  • Maintain and monitor Petty Cash, and reconciliations
  • May participate in onboarding new hires 
  • Compile and code timecards and update payroll spreadsheets
  • Submit certified payrolls to contractors
  • Perform as backup as needed for counterpart role at sister company
  • Various end of month reporting required with stringent deadlines

Scale Responsibilities

  • Scale trucks and maintain scale processes paperwork
  • Keep Scale QC files up to date
  • Help customers if they come in office
  • Compile BOL’s for additives
  • Expedite parts and supplies
  • Call customers in regards to deliveries and answer phones
  • Check mail and scan mail to appropriate employee
  • May need to purchase supplies for the office

Accounting Responsibilities

  • Assist with Purchasing and production in the accounting system
  • Write purchase orders
  • Receive PO’s when appropriate
  • Update individual plant sheets
  • Journal entries & Reconciliations as necessary
  • Data entry required to maintain miscellaneous accounting records
  • Setting up jobs, certified and non-certified in accounting system
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Inputting of consumptions and production of products into system
