As a Crash Truck Operator, You Will:

  • Promote, lead, and execute a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants in compliance with Miller Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) polices and contractual HSE obligation for the staff and public are met
  • Drive/Operate Crash Trucks
  • Operate Forklifts and loaders
  • Load and unload Materials
  • Assist in Lay out and pre mark on new and existing asphalt
  • Set up and take down Traffic control as per OTM book7
  • Maintain accurate documentation – driver logs, fuel records, time sheets, Daily work Logs
  • Maintain/clean equipment and conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

  • Class D commercial license with air brake endorsement (Z)
  • Ability to Operate Manual transmissions, Considered an asset
  • Previous mechanical experience with the ability to perform minor repairs on equipment, considered an asset
  • Excellent communicate skills (both written and verbal)
  • Flexibility and organizational skills to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
  • Willingness to learn and appreciate Miller Values - safety, quality and integrity so we can continue “Building Greatness” 
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, including days, nights or weekends as required
  • Ability to travel with extended stays, when required
  • Ability to perform manual labour and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work productively in a highly functional team
