THE MILLER GROUP | Crash Truck Operator
Subsidiary: Miller Paving Limited
Location: Owen Sound, ON
As a Crash Truck Operator, You Will:
- Promote, lead, and execute a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants in compliance with Miller Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) polices and contractual HSE obligation for the staff and public are met
- Drive/Operate Crash Trucks
- Operate Forklifts and loaders
- Load and unload Materials
- Assist in Lay out and pre mark on new and existing asphalt
- Set up and take down Traffic control as per OTM book7
- Maintain accurate documentation – driver logs, fuel records, time sheets, Daily work Logs
- Maintain/clean equipment and conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- Class D commercial license with air brake endorsement (Z)
- Ability to Operate Manual transmissions, Considered an asset
- Previous mechanical experience with the ability to perform minor repairs on equipment, considered an asset
- Excellent communicate skills (both written and verbal)
- Flexibility and organizational skills to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
- Willingness to learn and appreciate Miller Values - safety, quality and integrity so we can continue “Building Greatness”
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including days, nights or weekends as required
- Ability to travel with extended stays, when required
- Ability to perform manual labour and lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent team player with the ability to work productively in a highly functional team
