Mission


Southeast Emulsions is currently accepting applications for the position of: Terminal Operator 1.  This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 40-hour work week and opportunities for advancement.

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Understanding of fundamental operations processes and procedures.
  • Safety Policy and PPE requirements
  • Safe Operating Procedures (LOTO, H2S, JSA’s)
  • Rail, Barge or Truck Unloading (steam, hose connection, dome lid, valve alignment, etc.)
  • Truck loading and associated paperwork
  • Tank gauging and inventory documentation
  • Heavy equipment operation
  • Equipment inspections
  • 6S basics 
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of quality and precision in tasks.
  • Clear and effective communication with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to document processes and report issues promptly.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new methods to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to team goals.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Dependability in completing assigned tasks on time.

Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Mechanical experience:  welding, pipe fitting and other mechanical experience (preferred)
  • Commitment to being on time (required) 
  • Early morning shifts; 4:00am (occasionally)
  • Basic computer skills (required)

The noise in the work environment is sometimes loud, however does not exceed the OSHA requirement for mandatory hearing protection.
The employee must regularly work with hazardous materials (hot liquid asphalt) and chemicals.
The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather condition, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.

 

This job requires overtime including working weekends and holidays, and rotating work shifts to provide continuous coverage for customer delivery/pickup.  The employee's daily starting and quitting times may need to be changed in order to meet changing business requirements.
