Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of clerical duties and technical tasks for the Sales Department.
The ideal candidate will have previous clerical support responsibilities, records maintenance, and general administrative support experience, including individual and team coordination.  Successful candidates will have the ability to provide administrative support to the Sales team.  Qualified candidates should have the ability to manage multiple priorities and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with diverse groups of people.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
  • Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies 
  • Provides administrative support for regional sales department staff
  • Responsible for JWS, COMMAND, and AP Hauler order and other data entry
  • Weekly reporting/forecasting of aggregate and ready-mix sales.
  • Assist Sales Manager and scale operators with accuracy of daily sales
  • Assist accounting to ensure correct pricing 
  • Reconciling outside sales lease trucking 
  • Composes correspondence for internal and external agencies on behalf of the sales team
  • Answers phones and refers calls to appropriate personnel or provides requested information
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required 


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid drivers’ license with clean driving history required


  • Demonstrated proficiency in database administration, including use of JWS, COMMAND, JDE and similar relational database programs preferred
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including Office365 programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook); this position requires intermediate to advanced skill Excel and PowerPoint file creation and task management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with general direction, and organize work while managing time effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and changing deadlines in an environment of ambiguity
  • Ability to work effectively on a team and collaborate on projects
  • Prior experience working in a construction, mining, manufacturing, or similar industry preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Most work performed in an office environment, quiet to moderate noise level
  • Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 35 pounds with or without assistance
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear) 
  • Sitting for long periods (up to 8 hours or more) at a desk using a computer; with intermittent breaks
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; visiting work sites may require walking over uneven terrain and some exposure to dust, chemicals, and loud noise
  • Some travel with overnight stays away from home may be required
