Job Summary:

  • The core functions of this position will be Accounts Receivable and Inventory Management. The position is responsible for effective management, analysis and problem resolution of the company's outstanding accounts and the application of payments. This would include, but is not limited to, cash management. This position will also work closely with our manufacturing teams to ensure accurate inventory values, movement, and cost of goods sold.  
     

Main Responsibilities:

  • Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
  • Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies 
  • Track customer balances and process credit card payments as needed. 
  • Responsible for billing customers for manufacturing materials; import and verify sales tickets. 
  • Process, print, and mail invoices to customers. 
  • Run applicable accounts receivable reports. 
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve past due invoices and any other reconciliation issues. Including follow-up and contacting customers for collection. 
  • Process new customer credit application. 
  • Collect appropriate data and prepares federal, state, and local reports and tax returns
  • Record closing inventory transactions
  • Reconcile physical to book Inventory values. 
  • Reconcile product inventory values to the GL
  • Review and adjust product values
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, document business transactions
  • Distribute expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules
  • Determine proper handling of financial transactions and approve transactions within designated limits
  • Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
  • Make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field of study required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving history

Skills:

  • 3 or more years of relevant accounting experience preferred. Inventory/manufacturing accounting experience a plus
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints, and interact professionally with others
  • Ability to interpret and apply generally accepted accounting principles
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
  • Proficiency in MS Office Programs (Word, Outlook, Excel), accounting software (JD Edwards a plus); payroll systems; and other related software

Physical Requirements:

  • Most work performed in an office environment, quiet to moderate noise level
  • Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds 
  • Regularly required to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects
  • Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear) 
  • Sitting for long periods (up to 8 hours or more) at a desk using a computer; with intermittent breaks
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; visiting work sites may require walking over uneven terrain and some exposure to dust, chemicals, and loud noise
  • Some travel with overnight stays away from home may be required

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000 annually DOE

*Estimated target starting compensation; actual compensation to be determined based on assessment of an individual’s qualifications, education, and experience relative to the role.
