Project Manager - St. Augustine

R.B. Baker Construction, a Division of Reeves Construction Company is looking for a Project Manager to be based in its St. Augustine, FL location. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated Construction Professionals with at least 5 years of experience in the industry, be familiar with site development and highway construction, understand job cost management, have a strong work ethic and work well with other members of the team.




  • BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil commercial development, heavy highway construction or related field.
  • Estimating experience preferred.
  • Solid decision making, communication and problem solving skills
  • Experience in a supervisory/leadership position with strong people skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with engineering plans, project planning, resource scheduling, procurement and general project management principles.
  • Knowledge of construction inspection, tests, and methods.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Construction Related Software (HCSS preferred)
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and proposals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to Travel, which may occasionally be required for short intervals.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Handle business in a highly professional and ethical manner
  • Adhere to and promote all Company safety programs and initiatives
  • Work with other team members to successfully complete projects
  • Manage compliance with contracts, specifications, and regulations
  • Planning and Scheduling resources for successful project completion including preparing overall project schedules, weekly look ahead schedules and track progress for timely completion of projects
  • Supervising Project Personnel to ensure that planning and execution of the work is achieved
  • Making Site Visits to ensure that projects are constructed safely, with the most efficiency and highest quality
  • Understand and manage project budgets to control costs
  • Review and forecast job costs
  • Prepare monthly pay requests in a manner consistent with the Contract documents
  • Develop and manage customer, subcontractor and vendor relationships


      Reporting Structure:


This position reports to our Construction Operations Manager based in Garden City, GA.
