Job Summary
- Carries out manual tasks which contribute to the carrying out of the project for their professional specialty (road, pipelines, rail, etc.) in observance of the safety guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Complete tasks as directed by supervisor in a timely manner
- Maintain and clean work areas
- Handles, stacks, and move formwork and materials.
- Keep jobsite clean and orderly by cleaning and stacking materials not in use
- Perform shoveling, raking, and demolition work as required
- Assist others during concrete placements
- Able to work and assist others to work in a safe manner within the guidelines of the company's policies
- Other duties may be assigned
- Applies the safety guidelines including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Carries out the work based on precise directives from their superiors.
- Prepares the tools, the materials, necessary for the building of the structure and the workspace.
- Makes procurements for the construction site if necessary.
- Transports and stores equipment.
- Ensures the cleanliness of the construction site.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver's license with the ability to maintain a clean driving history
Skills
- Previous experience and knowledge with construction job sites
Physical Requirements
- Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
- Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects
- Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
- Frequent exposure to loud noise
- Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
- Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
- Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, Overtime as the need arises
- Must follow the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Proven track record working safely
- Good work ethic, professional, and positive attitude
