Job Summary

HRI, Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction since 1947, has openings for experienced and energetic Project Managers. HRI is seeking qualified applicants for a position within our company located in the Central Pennsylvania area. We have current openings within our Utilities Region. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise Utilities Projects from development to completion. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy
  • Create, update, and manage the project schedule
  • Develop the project budget upon assignment and notification of award
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts including but not limited to fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses to protect the company’s interest while simultaneously maintain good relationships with clients
  • Prepare and maintain accurate forecasting at all times, manage the procurement process including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts, and provide estimating with actual cost information
  • Perform administrative activities such as scheduling crews, completing reports, conducting safety conversations, and complying other reporting as necessary.
  • Properly delegate and assign task to the appropriate personnel

Skills

  • General knowledge of computer software such as Auto CAD, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, JDE, etc.
  • Experience with project planning, scheduling, and estimating
  • Ability to prepare subcontractor scopes of work
  • Familiarity with pricing, purchasing, and preparation of purchase orders for materials and equipment
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driverss license with clean driving history

Education

  • Preferred degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving history

Physical Requirements

  • Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
  • Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects
  • Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear) 
  • Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise 
  • Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
  • Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends as required
  • Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements
  • Proven track record working safely
  • Good work ethic, professional, and positive attitude
