HSE Manager

 

 

HRI, Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction since 1947, has an opening for an energetic HSE Manager at its State College, PA, office. We are looking for a highly skilled, promotable, and motivated individual to be a strong contributor to our team. HRI is part of a global construction leader, Colas, and is a great place to build a career!

 

The HSE position has a wide variety of duties that center on the safety of construction work sites. This positon will handle all claims through process and resolution. The positon will be a leader in driving policy, safety goals and initiatives. 

 

Responsibilities include administering the corporate HSE program, conducting site audits, providing site and classroom safety training, assistance with Job-Safety Analysis, assistance in pre-construction planning, coaching field crews, and leadership to all HRI employees and subcontractors on the projects.   This position reports to the Regional Manager.  As an operating unit of Colas, Inc., we have a proven track record of steady growth, which provides opportunities for long-term professional and personal opportunities. B.S. in occupational safety and health is preferred.  This position combines a key management role with hands-on field participation. Must be familiar with OSHA 1926 regulations. PA DEP experience a plus.  The ideal candidate will have an understanding of DOT regulations. Travel to job sites is required.
