Job Summary:
Responsible for administrative support of regional commercial maintenance shops & trucking operations including inventory maintenance, work order processing, data entry, and related systems maintenance; assists management with reporting, record-keeping, and parts procurement.
Main Responsibilities:
• Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
• Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
• Act as internal customer point-of-contact for shop and trucking operations
• Communicate professionally with other company representatives in-person, via e-mail, and over the phone
• Maintain accurate records for maintenance inventory and work order completion
• Coordinate with equipment management and construction teams regarding repair status
• Complete purchase orders and maintain vendor relationships for procurement of supplies for site; maintain associated record-keeping
• Enter information into computer system for inventory, billing, work-in-process and/or time-keeping purposes
• Assist with maintenance reporting; maintain related databases/spreadsheets and produce required reports
• Safely operate company vehicles as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain clean driving history required
Skills:
• At least one year of experience working in a maintenance shop or similar role preferred
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, or similar industry a plus
• Proficiency in use of computers including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint), and mobile applications
• Experience with data entry, maintaining databases and producing reports using Excel or similar programs; JWS and or JDE experience a plus
Physical Requirements:
• Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
• Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Regularly required to use hands to handle and manipulate objects
• Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
• Regularly required to sit for long periods at a desk and work with a computer
• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Maintenance shop environment; some exposure to loud noise, dust, fuel, oil, and other chemicals
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation*: $18.00-$24.00 DOE
*Estimated target starting compensation; actual compensation to be determined based on assessment of an individual’s qualifications, education, and experience relevant to the role.
