We are looking to employ a Communication Specialist with exceptional skills in developing engaging content across a variety of channels. Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Communications Specialist will assist in coordinating all internal and external communications, including social media. Liaising with subsidiary managers across Canada, the Communications Specialist provides plays a critical role in the overall strategic plan through the continued communication changes, values, and culture initiatives.


•    Support the communications function in developing dynamic communications content for a variety of audiences and channels
•    Take direction and produce quality work in a limited timeframe 
•    Write, package, and help deliver content for internal and external audiences, leveraging traditional, online, and social media channels
•    Provide creative and innovative ideas, while communicating clearly and concisely to all stakeholders in a decentralized environment
•    Work closely with an external team to in the production of videos, concept building, editing, etc.  
•    Deliver high-quality internal and external communications materials, including online articles, announcements, and key messages
•    Ensure all corporate design standards are adhered to and made part of all work that is created internally or by outside vendors
•    Support various subsidiaries with their communication needs


•    Degree or diploma in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution


•    Project and event management skills: able to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
•    Bilingual English/French a strong asset
•    At least 1 year of experience coordinating internal and external communications in a large, decentralized organization
•    Development and execution of communications plans including audience segmentation and development of key messaging
•    Experience in communication channel development and management
•    Excellent verbal & written communication skills – proven clarity and creativity with experience creating content and driving engagement across various channels


•    Strong PowerPoint editing and designing skills
•    Knowledge of SharePoint or related Intranet site management platform and internal content creation
•    Ability to collaborate with virtual teams and work remotely 
•    Proficiency with Adobe Suite a strong asset
•    Basic video editing skills a plus
