Mission
To ensure efficient, compliant, and timely onboarding of suppliers and accurate, standardized, and timely creation and maintenance of item master data in Colas Canada’s ERP and E-Procurement systems.
Main Responsibilities
Supplier Creation & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end supplier creation and onboarding process, including data collection, validation, and data entry into ERP (JDE) and E-Proc (COUPA) systems.
- Ensure suppliers earmarked for onboarding meet compliance requirements (e.g., insurance, safety certifications, ESG criteria).
- Liaise with internal teams (Ops, Legal, Finance) to complete onboarding workflows.
- Serve as main point of contact for supplier onboarding queries and escalations.
Item Master Creation & Maintenance
- Create and maintain item records in ERP (JDE) and E-Procurement (Coupa) systems.
- Ensure consistency in naming conventions, units of measure, categories, tax codes.
- Coordinate with subsidiary procurement, finance, operations, and inventory teams to gather item specifications and ensure alignment.
- Serve as main point of contact for item creation & maintenance queries, requests.
Data Quality & Governance
- Validate supplier and item creation requests against business rules and standards.
- Perform regular audits to identify and correct duplicates, inactive records, or data anomalies.
System & Data Management
- Maintain accurate supplier and item records in ERP/procurement platforms (JDE, Coupa)
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, Procurement, Ops to ensure data integrity and integration.
Process Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks, document, and recommend workflow enhancements.
- Support item and supplier automation and integration initiatives (e.g., catalog management, punchout systems).
Your Profile
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2-5 years MDM (master data management) or procurement admin experience.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
- Proficiency in E-Procurement platforms considered an asset.
- Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., ISO, ESG, HSE).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and data governance.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
Additional Information on the position
Salary range: $80,000 - 94,000 CAD per year.
This is a new position.
