Drive trucks equipped with concrete mixer to transport and dump concrete by performing but not limited to the following duties:

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all federal, state, local and company safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
  2. Push or pull levers to turn mixer drum and dump contents
  3. Move hand and foot controls to move truck forward and backward to aid in the placement of concrete
  4. Inspect truck equipment and supplies in accordance with CDL pre-trip guidelines
  5. Oil and lubricate equipment
  6. Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  1. 2 years experience driving a mixer
  2. Vision must be acceptable for day and night driving
  3. Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  4. Ability to do basic math
  5. Must have a CDL, Class B with air breaks endorsement
  6. Ability to read a GPS

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Moves hands and foot control to jerk truck forward and backward to loosen material adhering to body
  • Physical strength must be enough to climb in and out of a truck through out the workday and carry out assigned tasks
  • Standing 40% of time
  • Walking 10% of time
  • Sitting 2% of time
  • Driving 25% of time
  • Climbing 5% of time
  • Reaching 5% of time
  • Carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Pushing up to15 lbs.
  • Pulling up to 15 lbs.

While performing the duties of this job: the employee is regularly exposed to:  Moving mechanical parts, extremes of hot and cold weather, and vibration

The employee is frequently exposed to:  Fumes or airborne particles

The employee is occasionally exposed to:  Wet and/or humid conditions;  toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
