Job Summary

HRI, Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction since 1947, has an opening for an experienced and energetic Dispatch Administrator. HRI is seeking qualified applicants for a position within our Trucking and Asphalt plants located in the Central Pennsylvania (Bellefonte) area. The successful candidate will have background knowledge in construction and coordinate all computer software programs such as Fleetwatcher, Apex 6, Mobile Sales, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, JDE, etc.  The qualified candidate will receive extensive training.

Main Responsibilities

  • Keeping up to date with new software technology and implementation
  • Scheduling software upgrades
  • Partnering with Operations, Accounting, and Information Technology with regards to all systems
  • Partnering with Trucking operations to dispatch trucks accordingly
  • Partnering with Paving operations for all internal paving orders
  • Coordinating with all external vendor for asphalt ordering
  • Manage day to day costing and productivity operations of all construction systems and software
  • Testing and modifying systems to ensure that they operate reliably
  • Providing user training, support, advice, and feedback
  • Administrative task and duties assigned with the job
  • Partner with manufacturing for plant load out scheduling

 

Skills

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements

  • Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
  • Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects
  • Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear) 
  • Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise 
  • Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
  • Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends as required
  • Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements
  • Proven track record working safely
  • Good work ethic, professional, and positive attitude
