Job Summary
The Payroll Administrator is expected to perform a variety of payroll functions, including but not limited to, the processing of weekly payroll and construction certified payroll reports in a timely manner.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform weekly entering and auditing of payroll information for hourly union and non-union employees
- Process, monitor, and audit multiple daily time keeping systems
- Ensure of proper scanning and indexing of all completed payroll records and employee pay related forms
- Respond to employee pay related forms such as wage garnishment orders and unemployment claims and enter new wage garnishments into the system
- Prepare weekly certified payroll reports and distribute as them as needed
- Prepare monthly union trust fund contribution reports
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- 1-2 years accounting/payroll experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (preferred)
- Previous experience with construction unions in regards to certified payrolls and prevailing wage
- Basic knowledge of general wage and salary regulations
- Proficient with data entry/10 key by touch
- Previous experience in JD Edwards (preferred)
- Previous experience in HCSS Heavy Job (preferred)

- Ability to be discreet with confidential information (required)
- Intermediate level in Excel software
- Demonstrates a high level of initiative

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High accuracy and neatness in all work aspects (required)
- Proficient with data entry/10 key by touch
