VIE Business Analyst - Logistics & Equipment
Mission
As a VIE Business Analyst, the mission is to report and analyze equipment performance, act as a key user for digitalization initiatives, and drive improvements in business processes. By leveraging data insights and collaborating with internal stakeholders, this role aims to enhance operational efficiency and support informed decision-making within the organization.
Responsibilities
Reporting and analysis:
- Prepare together with management the budget and forecast for the department
- Monitor performance against budget and provide insights to support decision-making
- Assist in providing and preparing non-financial performance indicators for the department
- Benchmark the competitiveness of the (internal) equipment rate
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to the management
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in alignment with Group standards to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information (costs and revenues)
- Monitor correctness and align with stakeholders
Business processes and digitalization:
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and inefficiencies in business processes related to logistics and equipment
- Develop and implement solutions to improve organizational processes and performance including set up procedures and instructions
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including management and subject matter experts
- Key user for logistics and equipment digital tools
- Lead and/or assist in digital implementation tools (internal tools of Colas)
- Monitor the progress of implementation and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions
Profile
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- First experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, PowerBI)
- Strong digital mindset
- Project management skills or willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Language - Preference bilingual (Dutch/French or Dutch/English)
The position is based in Brussels, Belgium.
