Country Manager - Egypt

Mission

As Country Manager - Egypt, reporting to the Regional Director MEA, you will be responsible for developing business, leading the country management team, monitoring departments performance and budgets, and implementation and enforcement of the Group’s policies and strategies.

•    Safety & Ethics – Support the implementation of the Colas Rail Health and Safety, associated actions and resulting initiatives, to deliver continuous improvement in all areas. 

•    Excellence – Support the Operations to ensure work is carried out with a continuous view to quality, profitability and efficiency. Kay Areas of Responsibility & Accountability

•    Manage the Country general managers
•    Manage countries management staff by recruiting, selecting, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees
•    Monitor, appraise, and review job contributions
•    Plan and review compensation actions
•    Communicate COLAS Rail objectives and expectations
•    Enforce COLAS Rail policies and procedure
•    Represent COLAS Rail Egypt in official meetings, congress, business forums
•    Approve the proposed country strategy with Project Director 
•    Approve the country’s budget and review it with MEA Director
•    Approve the country’s investment budget and review it with MEA Director
•    Support country management to implement project’s teams
•    Enforce and improve Health and Safety standards and culture
•    Enforce and improve Quality and Environment standards
•    Enforce and abide by the Group’s Ethics and Compliance policies and procedures
•    Other duties as assigned

Person Profile

 

•    Degree in any technically related field, focus on engineering and construction
•    Strong Relationship Building Skills
•    Strong Organization Skills 
•    Ability to mentor and guide individuals to further their development
•    Experience in large scale infrastructure projects
•    Language skills: Fluent in English and Arabic is essential and French desirable
