Job Summary:
The Sales Analyst will leverage asphalt and aggregate product knowledge to conduct material cost analysis and support pricing strategies, while tracking bid results and project financials. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage project schedules and budgets, as well as communicating inventory and financial data to leadership and sales teams.
Main Responsibilities:
• Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
• Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
• Leverage asphalt and aggregate product knowledge to support sales initiatives and product pricing strategies
• Read and interpret plans, technical reports, and specifications to help prepare bids and support material order setup
• Solicit external pricing to support internal product pricing strategies, integrating this data into pricing models and matrices for construction teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop transfer pricing based on comprehensive cost knowledge
• Track and analyze bid results, providing insights for future bids and project proposals
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, monthly projections, submittals, purchase orders, and materials management
• Assist with coordination between manufacturing, sales, QA/QC personnel, and/or suppliers to support mix design cost challenges and improve material margins
• Conduct material cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance pricing accuracy
• Gather and analyze data to drive solutions and identify cost-saving opportunities within the sales and project administration processes
• Communicate monthly inventory information to the sales team, ensuring alignment on available resources and materials
• Track and communicate month-end financial data related to virtual terminal products, pricing, and forecasts to ensure accurate reporting and strategic planning
• Maintain and manage ongoing jobs, collaborating with the construction team to establish accurate project forecasts
• Assist with special projects related to pricing models and analyze logistics financials to enhance operational efficiency
• Other duties as assigned
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, construction management, construction engineering, materials engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) preferred
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving history required
Skills:
• 4+ years of experience working in an accounting, sales, analyst or related role
• Prior experience working in construction, mining, manufacturing, or related industry preferred (asphalt and aggregate product knowledge a plus)
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Ability to problem-solve and resolve issues in an efficient and effective manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
• Computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), CRM software, databases, etc.
• Business/financial competence and understanding of basic accounting concepts, and product pricing methods
Physical Requirements:
• Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company safety guidelines
• Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objects, write, use a keyboard and/or mobile device
• Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
• Regularly required to perform tasks requiring visual acuity
• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally required to Stand/work on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
• Frequently required to sit for long periods at a desk using a computer
• Occasionally work near heavy equipment and machinery, exposure to loud noise
• Occasional exposure to typical construction site conditions, including dust and loud noise, and all-weather conditions
