Job Summary

Strawser Construction Inc, subsidiaries of Barrett Industries, provide advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers’ needs.  We are currently looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to manage the recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and maintaining compliance with relevant employment laws. This is a crucial role in managing human resources functions to ensure the smooth operation of our organization. This hourly position is a hybrid of working remotely and in office.

Main Responsibilities

  • Post jobs to appropriate job boards, trade schools, LinkedIn, social media and internal ATS
  • Source and recruit candidates through career fairs, social media and trade schools
  • Collaborate with other HR team members on recruitment and retention strategies
  • Business partner to hiring managers, fully understanding their needs and timelines
  • Phone screen applicants and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Data entry of new hires into HRIS
  • Maintain electronic personnel files
  • Main point of contact for HR related questions
  • Visit job sites and facilities during the construction season
  • Other administrative tasks to assist the overall HR function

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field is required
  • 2 -3 years of experience preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must be able to travel, including some overnights
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, detail oriented
  • Willing to have fun at work and creativity a plus
