Preserving the Road Home

 

We are currently seeking Highway Construction Laborers for our 2019 season.  The highway construction laborer role requires general labor and various equipment usage experience, including the transportation of construction equipment and materials.  Daily Duties may vary and include mixing, spreading materials and cleaning roadway surfaces as needed. Laborers may also spend time performing traffic control duties including flagging and maintenance of traffic.  Laborers may operate a variety of equipment and vehicles, and must adhere to our safety practices and procedures at all times.  We are a drug free workplace.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Clean Driving Records
  • CDL preferred, must obtain within one year
  • Previous highway experience preferred, OSHA 10 Hour Training or Flagger Certification a Plus!
  • Overnight stays for extended periods are required

  • Team player attitude
  • Safety conscious
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and physical fitness test

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift 60 pounds or more
  • Ability to work outside (hot/cold temperatures)
  • Climb ladders, catwalks, etc.
  • Squat, reach
  • Walk long distances or stand for long periods of time on roadway
