Job Summary
Barrett Paving Materials Inc., Internship program is designed to educate the candidate (current college student) about the different aspects of the aggregate business
Main Responsibilities
- Spend extensive field time at our aggregate facilities to gain experience in mining operations, and the processing of aggregates
- Work closely with the Geologist to understand the total mining process and planning
- Complete a mutually beneficial project
- Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
- Learning how to work as part of the region team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company
Skills
- Basic math skills with ability to calculate and analyze data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with computers
- Good organizational skills
- The ability to work well with all levels of the organizations
- Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible
- Some travel required
Education
- Enrolled in a Mining Engineer Bachelor’s degree program
