ACP Applied Products - Chip Seal Division

Position: Labourer/Flagger, Full-time, Seasonal

Start Date: Immediately

No experience required, training will be provided to all successful candidates

Main Responsibilities

We are looking for reliable individuals who will be responsible for contributing to the safe daily operations on various company job sites. This position requires versatility, flexibility and a positive attitude. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support to the Chip Seal division in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Traffic control to ensure the safety of the public and on-site workers.
  • Understand the job and the hazards that are present
  • Maintain proper awareness of your surroundings
  • Execute and maintain temporary traffic accommodation (signs, arrowboards, barricades, traffic cones)
  • Assist operators, lead hand, and foreman in their duties as required
  • Other as determined by a supervisor

Requirements

 

  • Must own reliable transportation
  • Must successfully complete drug and alcohol and fit test. *Note: This includes the use of marijuana, medical or non. As this is a safety sensitive position there is a zero tolerance policy in place for cannabis use
  • Valid Class 5 (Non-GDL) Drivers License is required
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Willing to work out of town (Work in AB, BC, SK, YT & NWT)
  • Willing to work night shifts if required
  • Experience with safety regulations and safe practices is an asset
  • Ability to work in uncertain outdoor conditions
  • Ability to work overtime hours
  • No experience required, training will be provided to all successful candidates
