Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Assistant Regional Controller, the Accounting Intern can expect to participate in creating journal entries, preparing financial reports, analyzing actual financial data, tracking inventory, and assisting with other accounting activities. You should be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with month end and closing
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Assist the accounts receivable clerk by processing plant tickets, creating customer invoices and statements.
  • Resolve inventory-related problems by investigating with manufacturing personnel and other key business partners
  • Assist in preparation of budgets

Education

  • Must be actively working towards a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

Skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting theories, policies, and procedures
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - specifically Excel
  • Detailed oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Able to walk, stand, and sit for periods of time
