Mission
Reeves Company is looking for an experienced Bridge Leadman based out of Greenwood, SC location to serve as a member and leader of a crew performing work for the repair, maintenance and replacement of bridges and structures. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in bridge / heavy highway construction (2+ years' experience in Lead / Lead Carpenter role preferred).
Main Responsibilities
- Ability to perform tasks on all areas and aspects of construction project, including the ability to work with tools, lumber, and materials.
- Basic Carpentry as it relates to the building and bracing of wooden forms and falsework.
- Drive Pile - must be able to work off the ground positioning pile in leads, climbing ladders up to 60 feet.
- Steel and Concrete Girder Erection - must be able to work off the ground assembling and guiding girders into final position, including handling as needed to preset.
- Manage craftsmen and laborers, equipment and materials
- Maintain crews productively and efficiently
- Training of others on the crew
- Attend daily safety meetings
- Follow safety policies and procedures to maintain safe work environment
- Perform quality work to meet requirements
- Work hours adjusted to meet the project' needs, days, nights and weekends
- Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in bridge/heavy highway construction.
- 2+ years' experience in Lead/Lead Carpenter role (preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities; experience managing crews and subcontractors (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, project management, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ability to effectively read and understand work plans
- Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.

Employees must have 20/40 vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses. Hearing should be excellent or corrected by audio device.
