Compensation

$123,000-$150,000

Job Summary

The Equipment Manager will work closely with all the Equipment & Manufacturing team and will work directly under the Director of Equipment & Logistics. The Equipment Manager is responsible for design, development, implementation, analysis in installation and maintenance of company equipment and plants. The Equipment Manager recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of plants and equipment. May develop a range of products.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures, developing and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop improvements to enhance equipment reliability, scalability, and overall quality.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance programs, including pre-and-post trip procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop methods to reduce failures.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for equipment installation, maintenance, and corrective procedures (WO’s, PO’s, Dashboards, DARCI).
  • Provide support and training for solving equipment malfunctions.
  • Develop cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining productivity.
  • Act as a contact and authority for equipment performance-related questions and concerns.
  • Analyze telemetry data, create BI dashboards, and communicate key findings to team members.
  • Investigate and report on root cause analysis, ensuring effective follow-up with corrective actions.
  • Assist in conducting time and efficiency studies on fuel consumption, implementing process improvements accordingly.
  • Verify equipment quality in the field, taking vital actions to address deficiencies.
  • Assist in handling costs and completing capital projects.
  • Oversee GPS programs, track equipment usage, and communicate operating/maintenance issues as required (Cat VisionLink / John Deere JD Link / TopCon).
  • Review equipment write-ups with field personnel to identify possible issues and schedule mitigation strategies.
  • Provide support during new equipment integration, ensuring successful implementation and providing necessary training
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills And Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with JD Edwards experience preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the capability to multitask effectively.
  • Highly dependable, self-motivated, and trustworthy individual capable of performing essential job functions satisfactorily.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or similar

Skills And Abilities

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with JD Edwards experience preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
