The Asphalt Plant Lead directs and leads all on-site workers, subcontractors and equipment, implementing the company’s policies, procedures and safety standards, while meeting production schedules. This position is a working foreperson and is expected to work alongside the crew that they are leading.

Compensation:

$26.00 - $28.00

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in scheduling of field activities, subcontractors and crew members.
  • Inspect work performed to ensure it meets specifications and is on schedule.
  • Maintain daily records of all significant project facts, crew timesheets, events and conditions.
  • Assist with the instruction and training of employees and ensure the safety of the workers.
  • Assist crew foreperson in implementing environmental, health and safety regulations and policies (local, state and government).
  • Must keep equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping.
  • Able to recognize potential problems before they occur, and act accordingly.
  • Must have the ability to work safely and follow the policies and procedures of the company.

Skills

  • Schedule, complete site and safety training as well as delegate work for all employees
  • Supervise daily operations and production
  • Trouble shoot equipment, controls and processes
  • Plan and follow through with maintenance and repairs
  • Complete all required reports

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable MVR
  • 3 to 5 years of Hot Mix Plant Experience
