Day in the life
Ready to cement your career with the perfect mix? Concrete field technicians support Miller Concrete's operation by ensuring the concrete we produce is of high quality and meets our customer’s needs. You’d typically start your day at one of Miller Concrete production plants, assisting the plant operators by testing both raw material properties, monitoring the plant performance and testing ready-mix concrete properties to ensure our mixes are produced with a high degree of consistency.
This role is an excellent introduction into the construction industry as Miller has a variety of customers ensuring field technicians are exposed to many different types of construction such as residential home-building, high-rise developments, commercial warehouses, provincial/federal infrastructure (400 series highways & Bridges), and underground works.
Exciting Projects
When our Field Technicians aren't monitoring our production/job-sites they could be found:
- Assisting with various projects such as reducing the carbon in our concrete mixes
- Developing educational data for customers
- Assisting supervisors in generating Key Performance Indicator Reports and optimizing our concrete mix designs to reduce material cost
