ACP Applied Products, a division of Canadian Road Builders Inc., is a dynamic company of experienced engineers, applied product installers and sales staff, all with a firm commitment to quality in products and services in regard of pavement preservation and performance product.  We provide and install chip seal surface dressing to assist with pavement preservation, cold milling for asphalt and concrete and applications of geomembrane linings and cappings. Whether applied to road surfaces or bridge decks, bike trails or pedestrian crossings, our products and applications offer the optimal solution for all road maintenance and pavement preservation issue.

We are hiring drivers with a minimum class 3Q licence for the Micro Surfacing trucks and for a tandem dump truck driver. We run under a federal operating authority thus a 70hr / 7 day schedule. Reset days are every week. We work 7 days a week with overtime after 8hrs per day and 44 hrs per week. We take all statutory long weekend holidays off. Our work this season is for the City of Edmonton and we will be there the entire summer. We meet in Leduc business park every morning so you must have your own reliable  transportation. As stated you must pass a drug/alcohol and fitness test.

 

Mission

  • Operates the specific vehicles used for the project work in their field of specialty (road, pipelines, rail, etc.) in observance of the safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Applies the safety guidelines linked to their activities including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Prepares for their work: analysis of the information concerning the carrying out of the work, transfer of vehicles to the construction site, installs construction site signs and provides access roads in compliance with the traffic rules for safe work.
  • Takes care of the proper adjustment of their equipment and vehicles before operating them.
  • Carries out the work, operating the vehicles according to the prerogatives of the required authorizations and ensuring safety.
  • Carries out work based on precise directives from their hierarchy.
  • Maintains vehicles: clearing and verification of vehicles after use, carries out standard upkeep (minor repairs) in observance of the company’s environmental guidelines and the regulations,  notifies their manager in the event of anomalies.
