Purpose of the Role

As Warehouse Operative you will report to our Warehouse Manager and assist with operational projects throughout the Leigh warehouse/ stores. You will carry out manual tasks which contribute to the project for its professional specialty (Airfield maintenance, road, pipelines, rail, etc). To be successful in this role you will have worked in a warehousing / stores environment and have used a FLT.

Main Responsibilities

As Warehouse Operative, you will maintain the warehouse, yard and gate area and be responsible for loading of vehicles and the unloading of Colas deliveries. You will also ensure correct storage of  materials in the warehouse and report any stock issues to the depot manager. You will apply to the safety guidelines including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse.

The Ideal Candidate

To successful in this role, you will be a team player with experience in a similar warehousing or stores environment. You will also have used any FLT in an previous role and will willing to carry out any in house training on lifting equipment.
