Job Summary

  • Transport heavy equipment to and from project sites for road construction.

Main Responsibilities

  • Move heavy equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Operation of equipment for loading and unloading from lowboy safely.
  • Properly secure load according to DOT regulations.
  • Safety for yourself, co-workers and the traveling public.
  • Maintain an excellent driving record by falling all laws under the DOT, FMCSA, State and Federal governments.
  • Daily inspections
  • Reporting any maintenance or repair needs immediately.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • CDL Class A

Skills

  • Knowledge of construction equipment.
  • Capable of operating various types of equipment.
  • Knowledge of the operation of a lowboy trailer.
  • Flatbed / lowboy experience.
  • Work independently and efficiently.
  • Safety oriented.
  • Solid understanding of DOT Regulations
  • Organization skills with the ability to prioritize.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work various shifts and long hires at times.
  • Safely climb in and out of equipment.
  • Some heavy lifting.
  • Able to meet DOT guidelines for securing loads.
  • Adaptable to changing weather conditions.
