Position Summary
In the full-time position of a Tank Truck Driver, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to following all standard operating procedures and policies established by the McAsphalt Logistics department. You will also comply with all regulations set out by the Ministry of Transportation and any other applicable legislation.
Also note that we offer all training, Drug and Alcohol Testing and no hot seats as we assign you to your own truck and trailer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving a tanker trailer.
- Hauling liquid commodities such as asphalt oil.
- Loading/discharging cargo (diesel, oil, liquid asphalt, emulsions, and other asphalt related products) on McAsphalt transportation and related equipment tankers.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least class one type commercial driver's license;
- Must be able to work independently;
- Must hold TDG, ICPP and WHMIS certifications;
- Must pass DOT physical examination for hazardous materials, drug and alcohol screening, and detailed reference check; · The driver must be able to cross the border and have an express card or be able to obtain one.
- Experience with tanker deliveries particularly in fuel delivery would be considered an asset.
- Documentation knowledge - driver’s logbook (E-Logs, ELD), pre & post trip inspections, etc.
- Experience with Health and Safety programs.
- Punctuality and reliability are imperative.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule with varying hours depending on the schedule and time of year.
