Mission
- Assist with the maintenance and repairs of heavy civil equipment, heavy and light duty vehicles, and/or facilities used for carrying out the operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Follow the instructions of master mechanic (ie. schedule, duties, etc.)
- Prepares and prioritizes their work, coordinates the operations to be carried out, observing the deadlines, using the data for the life of the facilities, orders the supplies vital for maintenance.
- Keeping shop clean (i.e. sweeping, organizing, trash removal etc.)
- Cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles and equipment.
- Moving parts within the shop area as advised by mechanics.
- Pick up and deliver parts, also general office errands.
- Ability to work under pressure and stressful situations while still maintaining cooperative working relationships with staff.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, self-motivated, multi-tasker, must be willing to work outside and not be afraid to get dirty.
- Safety-oriented.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
- Must be able to successfully complete physical abilities test.
- Must be 18 and have a valid/current driver's license.
- Must be able to work in outdoor environment.
- Must be dependable, punctual and have strong work ethic.
