Position Summary

 

In the full-time position of an A-Z License Tanker Truck Driver, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to following all standard operating procedures and policies established by the McAsphalt Logistics department. You will also comply with all regulations set out by the Ministry of Transportation and any other applicable legislation.

 

Also note that we offer all training, Drug and Alcohol Testing and no hot seats as we assign you to your own truck and trailer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Driving a tanker trailer.
  • Hauling liquid commodities such as asphalt oil.
  • Loading/discharging cargo (diesel, oil, liquid asphalt, emulsions, and other asphalt related products) on McAsphalt transportation and related equipment tankers.

Required Qualifications

 

  • Minimum High School/College Diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with tanker deliveries particularly in fuel delivery would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum – 5-10 years verifiable OTR experience.
  • Class A-Z driver’s license with a passport, clean abstract.
  • Must be able to legally enter the USA and obtain a FAST/TWIC card.
  • Experience with B Train and/or Super B train a strong asset.
  • Documentation knowledge - driver’s logbook (E-Logs, ELD), pre & post trip inspections, etc.
  • Experience with Health and Safety programs.
  • Must be able to comply with all transportation and regulations of the US DOT.
  • Must be available for long hauls.
  • Punctuality and reliability are imperative.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule with varying hours depending on the schedule and time of year.
