Mission

The Philippine Railways Institute (PRI) is a training center that operates under the administrative supervision of the Department of Transportation (DOTr). Its main purpose is to serve as the entity responsible for planning, implementing, regulating, and administrating the development of human resources in the railway sector in the Philippines.

CP106 WPC, which includes Colas Rail, is responsible for delivering E&M (Electrical and Mechanical) and trackwork equipment to the PRI.

Main Responsibilities

  • To support the Project Manager’s role on delivery of Work Package (WP) of Philippine Railways Institute** according to contractual requirements and Employer expectations to maximize the results with respect to cash and margin whilst delivering on time, in conformity with Colas Rail project management and execution processes.

  • In close coordination with project management team, the ideal candidate will embark on the project starting from design stages and evolving to deliver each stage of project, and ensuring that it’s delivered to the ultimate satisfaction of the company and its customer.

  • A successful completion of the Project mission will enable the candidate to acquire potential project managerial roles in future and will be an asset to the succession planning to meet the requirements of the company.

  • The Ideal candidate is a quick learner, detail-oriented, able to parse through bulk information and determine further course of action, excellent orator, adapts to the demand of role & task at hand and thinks the best way forward in a win-win manner with a go, get it done right in the first attempt manner.

  • Knowledge of Signaling, Power Supply, Trackwork or a prior experience of Railway environment will be an asset, however the lack of such will not be debilitating to the candidature of person with the right mindset.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, management or business.
  • Candidates holding project engineering, planning or construction experience in a railway environment will be given a preference.
  • Preferable 3+ years of professional experience in the field of Signaling, Power Supply or any other railway sub-system or E&M projects
  • Knowledge of relevant European and international standards and railway safety principles
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, Philippine national standards about Civil, structural and/or electrical design, Professional engineer’s license is desirable and will be given preference.
  • Experienced in international project working environment with various nationalities.
  • High level of customer and quality orientation.
  • Strong analytical, arithmetic, visualization skills and good English language is a must.
  • Fluent in English is mandatory. French language is a plus.
