Purpose of the role

 

At Colas Ltd. we have an exciting opportunity for a Administrator Support Supervisor to join the us and be based at Peacehaven, BN10 8AP. Reporting to the ITS Street Lighting Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling, compiling and coordinating the support services within our Street Lighting team to facilitate the timely and efficient installation of street lighting products. To support the company in developing new business within the street lighting sector through your expert knowledge and experience.

Main Responsibilities

 

As a Admin Support Supervisor you will support all aspects of company H&S; BU H&S Day, near miss and, incident reporting and investigations. You will be required to attend and, deliver toolbox talks. You will support the Contract Manager in decision making by communicating all administrative and technical considerations effectively to ensure decisions do not adversely affect our client and/or key internal stakeholders. You will provide a focal point for our clients and to ensure ad-hoc requests for information are actioned in a timely fashion. You will be responsible for coordinating all resources and equipment orders/deliveries whilst maintaining accurate stock records on all projects. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining a programme of street lighting maintenance and installation works in collaboration with the ITS Street Lighting Supervisors. Also, for liaising with ITS Street Lighting Supervisors whilst providing and recovering site information to allow the efficient and timely completion of ordered work and monthly invoicing. You will ensure that all associated test and handover documentation is provided within the required timescales and to the highest quality. You will provide IT systems and hardware support for ITS street lighting engineers. You will monitor and report on street lighting stock levels/valuations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical equipment requiring routine testing (PAT) is registered and tested as and when required. You will undertake site surveys as required and travel between locations. You will monitor and report monthly on Brighton & Hove Contract KPI’s. You will be responsible for monitoring team absence and sickness records and report to appropriate ITS Street Lighting Supervisor/Manager and that records are kept up to date on corporate systems. To ensure that all works carried out on any site are undertaken with full regard for the safety of yourself, colleagues, contractors and members of the public. To carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by the line manager. 

Ideal Candidate

 

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a Local Authority and/or Highways England environment. You will have experience in Scheduling and programming of high volume, multi-task, maintenance works. You will be required to have strong communication, influencing, negotiation, interpersonal and standard report writing skills.  You will have a full clean UK driving license.
